Mesoporous WO3 Nanofibers Disease Diagnosis

It is reported that the team took human exhaled gas as an object, and use of protein nano-cage module sensitization of electrospinning nanofibers (NFs) for detecting its tracking biological target sensitivity and selectively. In addition, the researchers prepared mesoporous WO3 nanofibers with Pt, Pd and Rh uniformly distributed; after the precious metal catalysis, tungsten trioxide gas sensors still has outstanding sensitivity even in conditions of wet environment, gas concentration level of one-billionth. The most exciting news is that this modified mesoporous WO3 nanofibers was confirmed to have a bright future in terms of reliability of disease diagnosis.
 
The reliability of disease diagnosis is an important prerequisite for the success of health care, and relates to the latter using medical and reasonable choice of treatment. Tungsten trioxide (WO3) is a N-type transition metal oxide semiconductor material, which has excellent gas sensitivity, electrochromic, photochromic, electrochromic, gasochromic and catalytic properties, and therefore has great potential application value in fields of flat panel display, smart windows, optical devices of write - read - rub, gas sensors and catalyst. Further, the nanostructure tungsten trioxide with the specific composition and morphology has special properties, which help it applies in many meaningful practical operations.
 
In the operation process, the conventional semiconductor sensor nanoparticles requires heating to activate its properties, however, in the long-term heating condition, nanoparticles prone to reunite each other and result in the reducing of sensitive material’s specific surface area which is not conducive to the absorption of the tested gas. Study has found that the mesoporous nanofibers due to its unique geometry and high surface area to overcome the shortcomings of the traditional nanoparticle material, and to have excellent properties to effectively improve the response and recovery property of the sensitive material.

It said that China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASTC) will begin to develop a high-tech aircraft, which is more efficient than the retired space shuttle. It uses a variety of power to take off from the general airport and fly straight into orbit. This power-combination space shuttle will use the combined cycle engine turbojet or turbofan engines allow the aircraft to take off from runway level. As the speed increased, it has been adjusted as the supersonic combustion ramjet. During the combustion ramjet engine set-up phase, the supersonic space shuttle will enter a hypersonic flight in "near space" office, which located at 20~100 km above sea level. Finally, the supersonic space shuttle will fly to the "near space" by using its rocket engine, then fly into the orbit. This space shuttle will not allow trained personnel easier access to space, as compared with the space launch vehicles, space shuttle accelerate its flatness, which will reduce the astronauts when it is subjected to be taken off to physical strain. This means that a version of the space shuttle can be used in space travel. At such a high temperature environment requires very high temperatures resistant metals like tungsten alloy, tungsten, copper, titanium and other materials, it is apparent the rapid progress of tungsten alloy, tungsten, copper, titanium and other materials technology will enable China to have the ability to support research and development in the field of materials technology such as ultra-high performance supersonic space shuttle.

At present, China has already had a variety of advanced solid and liquid fuels in space rockets. Even China disadvantaged in the history of the turbine engine technology, that won’t be a problem. For CASTC, the biggest challenge may lie in the integration of all relevant components into a propulsion package, so as to build a strong structure to withstand various tests such as re-entry.

China Cemented Carbide Turn Losses Into Gains In a Quarter of 2016

According to the 54 companies’ statistics show that, a quarter of cemented carbide production is about 4590.6 tons, down 4.95%; the community did not consider the statistical data, it is estimated the country carbide production of about 5500 tons. Among them, the export cemented carbide 1288.91 tons, an increase of 1.62%; cemented carbide deep-processing products output 768.13 tons, down 17.11 percent. Carbide industry total revenue of 2.83 billion yuan, down 21.12 percent; wherein the main business income of 2.798 billion yuan, down 20.95%; to achieve profits of 168 million yuan, an increase of 25.73%; profit of 18.1355 million yuan, an increase of 66.9304 million yuan; cemented carbide exports $ 65,755,500, down 38.25 percent.

Cemented carbide also called tungsten carbide, tungsten cemented carbide or simply carbide. Cemented carbide (WC) is an inorganic chemical compound containing equal parts of tungsten and carbon atoms. It can be pressed and formed into shapes from fine gray powder, which is considered to be its most basic form. Cemented carbide is approximately three times stiffer than steel, with a Young's modulus of approximately 550 GPa, and is much denser than steel or titanium. It is comparable with corundum or sapphire in hardness and can only be polished and finished with abrasives of superior hardness such as cubic boron nitride and diamond among others, in the form of powder, wheels, and compounds.

Cemented carbide is the preferred material for parts that must withstand all forms of wear (including sliding abrasion, erosion, corrosion/wear and metal-to-metal galling) and exhibit a high degree of toughness. It exhibits high compressive strength, resists deflection, and retains its hardness values at high temperatures, a physical property especially useful in metal-cutting applications.

Tungsten Concentrate and APT Market Throwback in 2016

Jan.-Apr.: Tungsten concentrate and APT rises and falls down all in a sudden. In the first half year of 2016, tungsten market went through ups and downs which is really rare in the history. From January to April, tungsten concentrate market prolongs the upgoing trend since the end of last year, the price keeps going up for 50% compared to the bottom price of 2015. On the one hand, national purchase and storage for two times offers the market a big space to recovery. On the other hand, manufacturing enterprises haven’t started to produce which results in short of material in the market. Tungsten concentrate price goes up but the supply is insufficient, they are still reluctant to sell, purchase for raw material has become a big trouble. APT price is even more ridiculer, market price keeps going up, at the end of April, price updates everyday and rising ratio reaches 20% in a month. People are surprised about the rhythm of up going of price. The side effect of fast rising of price gradually becomes problem, low market demand is the main concern.

May: At the end of May day, the end user of tungsten products are still rare, mining manufacturers start in succession, oversupply is the main trend. The situation starts to change. Upstream manufacturers are intended to sell raw materials, price starts to fall. Demanding is still rare. Tungsten price falls down in the middle of May for 20%. So does the APT market.

June-July: Environmental protection check in most APT manufacturer causes a lot of them have to shut down and rectification. Again, raw material becomes scarcity. Contradiction between supply and demand intensifies.

On Aug.5th, tungsten concentrate price reaches 74,000RMB/ton. Tungsten price index will be publicized soon. Let us have an expectation for it and hope it will goes stable in the rest of 2016.
