The overall center of gravity of domestic rare earth prices has moved up again, among which the price of praseodymium oxide has increased by about 4,000 yuan/ton, the price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide has increased by about 8,000 yuan/ton, the price of erbium oxide has increased by about 2,000 yuan/ton, and the price of terbium oxide has increased by about 50 yuan/kg.

From the supply side, affected by factors such as stricter environmental protection policies, low temperatures and weak demand from end customers, some rare earth mining companies have slowed down their production speed, and thus the supply of mineral products in the market has been difficult to increase. From the demand side, although the development prospects of the downstream rare earth industry are good and the price of rare earth raw materials has fluctuated and risen recently, it is still difficult to stimulate the enthusiasm of downstream users to enter the market for consumption, so the actual transaction volume is relatively small.

According to the Baotou Industry and Information Technology Bureau, in 2024, the added value of strategic emerging industries in industrial enterprises above designated size in Inner Mongolia will increase by 11.3% year-on-year. From the perspective of the development of emerging industries, the added value of the region's rare earth industry increased by 39.9% over the previous year, the added value of high-tech manufacturing increased by 29.4% over the previous year, and the added value of equipment manufacturing increased by 42.5% over the previous year. From the perspective of emerging industry products, the region's monocrystalline silicon output was 921,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 55.2%; polysilicon output was 878,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 98.3%; rare earth compound output was 414,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.8 times; new energy power generation was 196.9 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 27.9%.
