Ganzhou Tungsten Association Declined July Guide Prices for Tungsten Products

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China tungsten price mainly stabilized on the whole on July 6, 2022 as the new guide prices for the first half of this month are mixed and the market is still in a stalemate. 

Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) published its average tungsten forecast prices for tungsten products in July 2022, showing an overall decline on the previous month. 55% black tungsten concentrate price was $16,461.5/ton, down $76.9/ton; APT price was $290.3/mtu, down $1.7/mtu; medium particle tungsten powder price was $39.7/kg, down $0.3/kg compared with last month. 

Xiamen Tungsten’s APT bid price for the first half of this month was $286.8/mtu, up $1.7/mtu compared with the second half of June. 

Jiangxi Tungsten quoted high grade black tungsten concentrate at $16,923.1/ton, up $307.7/ton from the second half of last month.

Zhangyuan Tungsten’s long-term contract prices for the first half of this month: black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) was quoted at $16,461.5/ton, up $153.8/ton; scheelite concentrate (WO3≥55%) was quoted at $16,230.8/ton, up $153.8/ton; APT was quoted at $290.3/mtu, up $1.7/mtu from the second half of June. 

On the macro front, higher energy and food prices pushed inflation, as measured by the consumer price index, averaged 9.6% in OECD countries in May, the highest since August 1988. Among them, energy prices rose by an average of 35.4%, and food prices rose by an average of 12.6%. Inflation in the G7 region averaged 7.5% in May, up from 7.1% in April. Among them, the US inflation rate reached 8.6%, France 5.2%, Germany 7.9%.
