Jilin Shulan Promotes Molybdenum Project

Jilin Tianchi Molybdenum Co., Ltd.'s daily processing of 25,000 tons of ore project equipment foundation construction in Shulan City is coming to an end. The scale of the project will be nationwide. Ranked fourth among Mo mines, and circulated concentrate ranks second in the country.

Shulan City is located in the north-central part of the Province and is a county-level city under the jurisdiction, the ore is a unique mineral resource in the region. The current proven ore reserves are 829 million tons and the metal content is 719,000 tons. The prospective Mo content is expected to reach more than 1.3 million tons.

It is understood that based on resource advantages, the city has determined the concept of green and intelligent development, and developed the entire industrial chain of mining, mineral processing, smelting, processing, and logistics distribution. It plans and designs molybdenum with an area of 150 hectares and an annual processing capacity of 60,000 tons of Mo-concentrate.

The reporter saw at the project site that cranes, hook cranes, trucks and all kinds of machinery were shuttled back and forth. The person in charge of the site said that this project with an investment of more than 2.8 billion yuan is expected to start trial production in October this year.

According to Baojun Li, Director of the Engineering Department the company, the local development conditions are good, and the concentrate produced has fewer impurities and an average grade of 0.113%. It is suitable for processing high-end products and is an indispensable high-quality raw material for domestic deep processing. After the project is put into operation, it can process 25,000 tons of ore and 50 tons of concentrate per day.

The relevant person in charge of Shulan City said that the mining industry has the characteristics of huge initial investment, strict environmental protection review, and long industrial chain, and it is inseparable from the multi-party cooperation between the government and enterprises.
