China's GTA Raised its February Reference Prices for APT

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China's tungsten associations and listed companies have raised their February reference prices for tungsten concentrate, ammonium paratungstate (APT) and tungsten powder, in response to higher spot prices and tighter feedstock availability.

Ganzhou Tungsten Association’s (GTA) average tungsten forecast prices for February are as following: 55% black tungsten concentrate price was $14,285.7 per tone, up $666.7 per tone from January; APT price was $245.7 per mtu, up $10.4 per mtu; medium particle tungsten powder price is $34.1 per kilogram, up $0.8 per kilogram compared with last month.

Zhangyuan Tungsten’s offers for the first half of this month: black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) was quoted at $14,285.7 per ton, up $476.2 per tone from the second half of January; cheelite concentrate (WO3≥55%) was quoted at $14,047.6 per ton, up $476.2 per ton; APT was quoted at $245.7 per mtu, up $7.2 per mtu from the second half of last month. 

Jiangxi Tungsten’s offer for high-grade black tungsten concentrate was $14,761.9 per tone, up $793.7 per tone from January. 

Xiamen Tungsten lifted its first-half February bid price for APT to $241.2 per mtu, an increase of $3.6 per mtu from the second half of January.
