Rare earth market on July 24, 2023: At the beginning of the week, the overall domestic rare earth market was still weak. Although stimulated by the news of the temporary closure of Tengchong and the support of production costs and downstream users’ enthusiasm for bargain hunting, the price of praseodymium, neodymium, dysprosium, and terbium gadolinium rose somewhat.
Currently, the prices of praseodymium neodymium oxide and dysprosium oxide have risen slightly to around RMB 456,000/ton and RMB 2,300,000/ton respectively.
In terms of news: Financial magazine news shows that in the second quarter of 2023, Tesla’s revenue and net profit will be US$24.97 billion and US$1.693 billion, respectively, a year-on-year increase of 42% and 25%, both slightly higher than market expectations. In the second quarter, Tesla sold 466,000 vehicles, an increase of 10% from the first quarter. In the first quarter of this year, Model Y sold 267,200 units, surpassing Toyota Corolla's 266,400 units to become the world's best-selling model. The global average selling price of Model Y is about 300,000 yuan, nearly double that of Corolla, which sells for about 160,000 yuan.
