China’s Xianglu Tungsten Raised Long-term Contract Prices for May 2023

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China’s ammonium paratungstate (APT) and tungsten powder prices continue to be stable on May 16, 2023 with rare deals concluded in the market. With the release of new guide prices for the second half of this month, most traders seem more negative and remain low trading activity. 

China’s Xianglu Tungsten released its long-term contract prices for May 2023: 55% black tungsten concentrate price was $18,076.9/ton, up $384.6/ton; 55% scheelite concentrate price was $17,923.1/ton, up $384.6/ton; APT price was $312.0/mtu, up $7.8/mtu compared with April 2023. 

Xiamen Tungsten quoted APT bid price at $312.0/mtu, down $1.7/mtu compared with the first half of this month. 

At present, affected by the firm offers of suppliers and continued weakness in the demand side, market price tends to stabilize. Tungsten concentrate price hovers around $18,615.4/ton, APT price is $312.9/mtu and tungsten powder price is $42.5/kg.
