China’s GTA Rasied Average Tungsten Forecast Prices for May

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China tungsten price keeps firm after the holiday of Labour Day because the new guide prices from listed tungsten enterprises for the first half of this month were raised as expected. 

Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) released its average tungsten forecast prices for May: 55% black tungsten concentrate price was $18,307.7/ton, up $923.1/ton; APT price was $314.6/mtu, up $13.0/mtu; medium particle tungsten powder price was $43.1/kg, up $2.0/kg compared with April 2023. 

Zhangyuan Tungsten’s long-term contract prices for the first half of May: black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) price was $18,307.7/ton, up $461.5/ton; scheelite concentrate (WO3≥55%) price was $18,076.9/ton, up $461.5/ton; APT price was $314.6/mtu, up $7.0/mtu from the second half of April 2023. 

Jiangxi Tungsten quoted high-grade black tungsten concentrate at $18,6392.3/ton, up $538.5/mtu compared with the second half of April 2023. 

Xiamen Tungsten raised its APT bid price to $313.8/mtu, an increase of 6.1/mtu compare with the second half of last month.
