Molybdenum Oxide Price - July 25, 2022

At the beginning of the week, the overall focus of domestic molybdenum prices still moved down significantly, mainly due to the sharp drop in international molybdenum prices, the increase in domestic imports of molybdenum raw materials and the decline in steel prices. 

At present, the prices of molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum oxide are approaching 2,500 yuan/ton and 2,600 yuan/ton respectively. However, supported by the increased enthusiasm of downstream users to purchase at bargain prices, production costs and the reduction in the output of domestic molybdenum manufacturers, there are still industry players who have greater confidence in the stable operation of the market outlook.

In terms of news: From January to June 2022, the export of mechanical and electrical products from Tianjin Port was 183.55 billion yuan, an increase of 19.9%, of which exports of electrical equipment and automobiles both increased by more than 30%. In addition, the export of steel was 104.02 billion yuan, an increase of 53.1%; in the first half of the year, the import of iron ore at Tianjin Port increased by 67.7%.
