Zhangyuan Tungsten Declined Long-term Contract Prices for the Second Half of May

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

At the beginning of the week, the long-term contract prices of large tungsten companies for the second half of this month were lowered as expected. Although it did not cause severe panic, it affected the reference level of spot trading and negotiation to a certain extent. Most prices of tungsten products are under pressure. 

China’s Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) released its average tungsten forecast prices for May: black tungsten concentrate price was $17,307.7/ton, down $846.2/ton; APT price was $306.0/mtu, down $10.4/mtu; medium particle tungsten powder price was $42.5/kg, down $0.9/kg compared with last month. 

Zhangyuan Tungsten released its long-term contract prices for the second half of May: black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) price was $16,769.2/ton, down $538.5/ton; scheelite concentrate (WO3≥55%) price was $16,538.5/ton, down $538.5/ton; APT price was $295.5/mtu, down $10.4/mtu compared with the first half of this month. 

Jiangxi Tungsten quoted high grade black tungsten concentrate at $17,076.9/ton, down $538.5/ton from the first half of May. 

Xiamen Tungsten’s APT bid price was $295.5/mtu, down 10.4/mtu compared with the first half of this month.
