China’s Domestic Tungsten Price Shows Stable After QingMing Festival

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China’s domestic tungsten price shows stable on April 6, 2022 after the holiday of QingMing Festival as there are no significant changes in the supply, demand and macro news.

Based on concerns about the increase in domestic environmental protection supervision and the increasing pressure on production costs in the context of constant global conflicts, the short-term market is expected to rise. At present, most participants still remain cautious in trading considering greater challenges of the back-end consumption under the increase in external risks.

In terms of news, under the dual influence of the epidemic and geopolitical conflicts, the growth rate of the global manufacturing industry has slowed down. The global manufacturing purchasing managers' index was 54.1% in March, down 0.8 percentage points from the previous month and down 3.7 percentage points from the same period last year, according to data from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing.

In terms of sub-regions, the manufacturing PMIs in Asia, Europe, the Americas and Africa all decreased to varying degrees from the previous month, with the most significant decline in the European manufacturing PMIs.
