Cerium Oxide Price - May 6, 2021

Rare earth market quotation in China: cerium oxide, neodymium oxide and lanthanum oxide prices continue to maintain stability in the first trading day on May 6, 2021 after the holiday of Labour Day. As the market is mixed, buyers and sellers are cautious and thus new increased orders are limited. 

In April, China’s Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) was 51.1%, a decrease of 0.8 percentage points from the previous month; the non-manufacturing business activity index was 54.9%, a decrease of 1.4 percentage points from the previous month. In the manufacturing sector, the PMI of large and medium-sized enterprises is 51.7% and 50.3%, respectively; the production index is 52.2%, the new order index is 52.0%, the raw material inventory index is 48.3%, the employee index is 49.6%, and the supplier delivery time index is 48.7%.
