China Tungsten Powder Price Stands at $36.5/kg on High Raw Material Prices

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China’s ferro tungsten and tungsten powder prices remain strong in the second half of April. Now the month-long environmental checks in major tungsten producing areas is continuing, and spot availability is limited.

Suppliers would like to raise their offers of concentrate to $15,873/t considering environmental protection and good expectation for the manufacturing economy. Sellers are reluctant to sell their products, which in return supports the tungsten concentrate market. 

The APT price hovers around $269/mtu driven by high-price raw materials. Smelting factories face pressure as they are difficult to purchase low-price resources while downstream buyers still can not accept high prices products. Spot availability is low. 

Tungsten powder price stands at $36.5/kg as manufacturers have to raised their offers affected by the current raw material side. End users delay their purchasing plan and remain cautious sentiment now. in the short term, the market is expected to stabilize.
