Chinese ammonium paratungstate (APT) exporters kept their offers unchanged this past week despite fewer inquiries from overseas buyers due to the impact of Covid-19, with a strengthening domestic market once again lending support.

In the domestic market, tungsten price remained strong as mining enterprises reduced their production and consumers restocked raw materials at the end of the year. In the short term, market participants will wait for the new guidance from the market.

China's production and demand picked up steadily in the fourth quarter, and economic growth is expected to continue to accelerate compared to the third quarter, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. In the next stage, China’s economy is expected to become the only country with positive growth among the world's major economies.
