Neodymium Oxide Price - December 17, 2020

Rare earth market quotation in China: the DyFe, praseodymium oxide and neodymium oxide prices continue to decline on December 17, 2020 under many instabilities in the market.

From the perspective of negative factors: firstly, in the case of insufficient demand support, many holders are willing to reduce prices in order to withdraw funds at the end of the year; secondly, compared with the beginning of this year, the current prices of light and heavy rare earth products are still at a high position compared with early this year. Consumers generally delay purchasing plans and wait for opportunities to buy on low prices.

From the perspective of positive factors, firstly, the listing prices of both Norther Rare Earth and Southern Rare Earth have moved up slightly, which boosts market confidence and limits the price reduction; second, due to the impact of environmental protection pressure and low temperature, the production capacity of raw material manufacturers has been reduced, coupled with limited overseas imports, so the current spot supply of some products is still tight, which will help traders to keep price.
