China Lanthanum Oxide Price - December 2, 2020

Rare earth market quotation in China: terbium oxide and praseodymium oxide prices continue to increase while lanthanum oxide price keeps stable on December 2, 2020. After a previous sharp increase, now rare earth prices tend to slow down.

In the light rare earth market, high-level transactions are difficult to increase. Although domestic terminal industries such as new energy vehicles and wind power are developing rapidly, there is also a large demand for neodymium iron boron. However, due to the rapid increase of supplier quotations in the previous stage, current magnetic materials companies basically maintain just-needed purchases and wait patiently for a rational correction of raw material prices.

In the medium-heavy rare earth market, the actual trading situation is average, and the price center of dysprosium and terbium products still moves up slightly. This is mainly supported by favorable factors such as the limited import volume of China's rare earths, the gradual decrease in export volume, and the expected signal from the State Reserve In the near future, it is difficult to find the low-price supply in the market.

In the news: According to data from the General Administration of Customs, the scale of rare earth magnets purchased by the United States from China in September 2020 exceeded 480 tons, the highest level of imports in a single month since 2016. Statistics from the Pingyuan County Bureau of Statistics show that in October 2020, the output of rare earth separation products from January to October was 1748.3 tons, down 7% from the same period last year, of which the output of rare earth separation products in October was 127.8 tons.
