Cerium Oxide Prices - April 14, 2020

In the light rare earth market, the fundamentals are not good. Affected by the weak demand and tight capital, most suppliers have a high enthusiasm for shipping and rational adjustment of quotations, attracting many downstream businesses to enter the market, and the actual orders have increased slightly; In the medium and heavy rare earth market, the overall supply and demand are weakly balanced. Due to the fact that many overseas manufacturers of new energy vehicles and power battery companies are still in the stage of production suspension, the export market transaction is slightly light. Under the background of lockdown Myanmar customs and the early arrival of the maintenance season, some products have relatively low inventory.

In March, the prices of rare earth products in Baotou were mostly flat, and the price of five of the eight rare earth products under constant monitoring remained unchanged. The average price of rare earth carbonate is 21,000 yuan / ton, which is the same as that of the previous month; the year-on-year decrease is 2000 yuan / ton, which is 8.7%; the average price of cerium oxide is 11,500 yuan / ton, which is the same as the previous month, which is 1313 yuan / ton, which is 10.2%; The average price of neodymium metal was 345,500 yuan / ton, a decrease of 15,000 yuan / ton from the previous month, a decrease of 4.2%, and a decrease of 33,000 yuan / ton, a decrease of 8.6%.
