Chinese Rare Earth Prices - Dec. 24, 2018

Opening this week, Chinese rare earth prices remain stable but show signs of decline. On the one hand, downstream market has fewer new increased orders and try to force prices down; on the other hand, the supply and cost sides offer supports for the market under the stricter environmental protection. 

Under the deadlocked supply and demand in the market, some companies have to sell products at low prices due to funds pressure. But transactions are still hard to be increased as customers are not active in trading. Thin market trading is limiting the rise in rare earth prices.
