Historically, tungsten carbide is referred to as wolframite ore. Tungsten carbide comprises of equal parts of carbon and tungsten atoms. In its most basic form tungsten carbide is usually available as a fine gray powder. Tungsten carbide powder is easily pressed to form different shapes for use in abrasives, cutting tools, armor-piercing rounds, industrial machinery, instruments, jewelry and other tools. Tungsten carbide is about two times stiffer than steel.

Tungsten carbide is known to be much denser than steel or titanium. Tungsten carbide has a stiffness of about 550 GPa as per measured using Young's modulus. 'One Hundred and Eighty' will see darts stars team up with skilled members of the public to compete with each other for a big-money prize. The programme will combine the drama of a sporting event with the excitement of a game show and will air to Sky customers in the UK and Ireland this September.

Inspired by, and named after, the top score you can achieve on a dartboard, One Hundred and Eighty will feature appearances from 16-time world champion Phil Taylor, world No 1 Michael Van Gerwen and current world champion Gary Anderson as they play to determine a prize fund at the start of each show. They will then be paired into teams with lucky members of the public who will compete for the chance to win the prize.

Hosted by Davina McCall, the two teams will go head-to-head in a series of darts-based games and traditional legs of 501. One team will go through to play the final game hoping to take home the cash prize.

Professional darts commentator Rod Studd and cricketing legend Freddie Flint off will provide electrifying commentary to the proceedings and keep tabs on the all-important score.

Saturday will see Event Nine and Event Ten take place, with the weekend concluding with Event 11 and Event 12 on Sunday.

The weekend is the third of four Development Tour double-headers to take place in 2015, with the final weekend to take place on October 17-18.

Entries for Events 9-12 close at 2pm on Friday September 11.

Entry is open to any darts player, other than players inside the top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit. Players can compete from the day that they turn 16, with an upper limit of players needing to be aged 23 or under on January 1 2015.

Entry costs £25 per tournament, with £10,000 per event available in prize money.

All games in PDC Unicorn Development Tour events are the best of seven legs.

With two events per day being held across 32 boards, both PDC Unicorn Development Tour events will be staged as follows:
8.30am-10am - Registration for the day's first event. Players entered into both events will be registered for both events on arrival.
11am - Start of first event
Before 1pm - Players competing only in the day's second event must register
Start of the second event, to begin as soon as possible after the first event ends.

Entry Information
* PDC Unicorn Development Tour events are open to any player aged from 16-23 from outside of the top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit. Players can play from the day they turn 16, while players aged 23 or younger on January 1 2015 can enter all tournaments during 2015.

Entry will cost £25 per player per event, and entries will close at 2pm on the Friday immediately before each Development Tour weekend.

Players who have previously entered events online through the PDC's Online Entry System will use their existing Username and Password to login and enter online. If you have forgotten your login details please contact the PDC to receive these again.

New players must first register their details at the Servasport website before then logging in to enter events.

The German venue has previously hosted the PDC's European Championship, but will host the European Tour for the first time from September 11-13 as 48 players compete in the internet-streamed tournament.

Three weekends of PDC (Professional Darts Corporation) action remain before the cut-off, with two European Tour events to be followed by a Players Championship double-header.

September's action kicks off with the European Darts Trophy in Muelheim, Germany from September 11-13, as 48 players compete at the RWE Sporthalle across three days for £115,000 in prize money.

The European Darts Matchplay will then be held from September 18-20 at the Olympiahalle in Innsbruck, as the European Tour heads to Austria for the year's eighth event.

The action then returns to the UK for Players Championship events on September 26 & 27 at the Barnsley Metrodome, which are the final tournaments being played before the cut-off for the 32-player World Grand Prix.

The leading 16 players from the PDC Order of Merit will qualify by right, alongside the leading 14 non-qualified players from the PDC ProTour Order of Merit and the top two Irish/Northern Irish players from the PDC ProTour Order of Merit.

Currently, Raymond van Barneveld - a former World Grand Prix finalist - holds the 16th position on the PDC Order of Merit, holding a £4,250 advantage over Vincent van der Voort, with Justin Pipe and Stephen Bunting also bidding to break into the world's top 16.

Van der Voort, Pipe and Bunting would, though, be amongst the ProTour Order of Merit Qualifiers, alongside Jelle Klaasen, Benito van de Pas, Mensur Suljovic, Gerwyn Price, John Henderson, Steve Beaton, Andrew Gilding, Keegan Brown, Jamie Lewis, Mark Webster and Joe Murnan.

Jamie Caven and Kyle Anderson are also in the hunt for qualifying places, with Northern Ireland's Daryl Gurney and Ireland's William O'Connor in line to claim the "home" qualifying places.

The World Grand Prix will be held at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin from October 4-10, with the tournament famously featuring the unique format which sees players need to both begin and end each leg with a double.
