Guangxi Discovers Medium-Sized Tungsten Mine

Recently, the "General Survey Report on the Tungsten Polymetallic Mine in Lines 62-72 of the Northern Xingdian Mining Area, Nandan County, Guangxi" passed the expert review organized by the Guangxi Mining Association. The report reveals the discovery of a thick, large tungsten polymetallic ore body in the deep parts of the northern Xingdian mining area in Nandan County, with a submitted tungsten trioxide mineral resource of 26,000 tons, classifying the deposit as medium-sized. It also contains co-associated metal resources such as copper, zinc, tin, and silver.

The Guangxi Danchi metallogenic belt is one of China's significant polymetallic metallogenic belts, where previous tungsten exploration efforts had not yielded breakthroughs. Since the implementation of the new round of exploration breakthrough strategy, Nanning Zhongye Mining Resources Comprehensive Utilization Co., Ltd. has actively responded, self-funding nearly 10 million yuan for exploration. The company conducted deep and blind ore prospecting work within its own exploration rights in the northern Xingdian mining area of Nandan County. Entrusted by the company, the Guangxi Geological Survey Institute of MCC Geological Bureau, after thoroughly collecting and researching geological data of the mining area, compiled topographic maps of the concealed rock mass roof and identified favorable mineralization zones along the outer contact zones of the concealed rock mass. They then deployed deep drilling projects for verification. After over two years of effort, the project completed 5,680.7 meters of drilling across six boreholes, all of which encountered ore.

"The tungsten polymetallic ore body in the northern Xingdian mining area is characterized by significant thickness and multiple rich ore sections, displaying distinct vertical zoning. Based on drilling results, a single borehole has cumulatively controlled a tungsten ore body thickness of 127.39 meters, with the maximum thickness of a single tungsten ore body reaching 72.06 meters. The geological conditions for mineralization in this area are excellent, indicating potential for discovering a large-scale tungsten polymetallic deposit," said Long Peng, Director of the Guangxi Geological Survey Institute of MCC Geological Bureau.

"The tungsten polymetallic ore body in the mining area has high comprehensive utilization value for its co-associated components, offering substantial economic potential. The drilling work of this general survey covers only 1.8% of the exploration rights area and has already identified a medium-sized tungsten mine deposit. Further exploration in the future is expected to lead to the discovery and submission of a large-scale tungsten polymetallic deposit," said Jiang Sha, Chief Engineer of the Guangxi Geological Survey Institute of MCC Geological Bureau.
