Tungsten prices continue to climb, but resistance is significantly increasing, leading to a more stagnant market. 

While tungsten raw material holders are showing increased willingness to ship, there are few signs of loosening in their quotes. Downstream alloy manufacturers remain cautious, purchasing and selling based on actual order demand, with little willingness to stock up. Cashing out of scrap tungsten is increasing, but due to the long cycle from recycling to regeneration to monetization, coupled with the increased uncertainty surrounding recent price fluctuations, overall market willingness to accept goods has declined significantly. The current widening gap in expectations between buyers and sellers is making it difficult to increase actual transaction volume.

As of press time,

65% wolframite concentrate was priced at RMB 288,000/ton, up 101.4% from the beginning of the year.

65% scheelite concentrate was priced at RMB 287,000/ton, up 102.1% from the beginning of the year.

Ammonium paratungstate (APT) was priced at RMB 418,000/ton, up 98.1% from the beginning of the year.

The European APT price is USD 535-550/mtu (RMB 338,000-347,000/ton), a 64.4% increase from the beginning of the year.

The price of tungsten powder is RMB 645/kg, a 104.1% increase from the beginning of the year.

The price of tungsten carbide powder is RMB 630/kg, a 102.6% increase from the beginning of the year.

The price of 70% ferrotungsten is RMB 410,000/ton, a 90.7% increase from the beginning of the year.

The European ferrotungsten price is USD 77.5-81/kg W (RMB 387,000-405,000/ton), an 80.1% increase from the beginning of the year.

The price of scrap tungsten bar is RMB 445/kg, a 102.3% increase from the beginning of the year.
