Cs0.32WO3 particles, or cesium tungsten bronze nano particles, or cesium-doped tungsten oxide nano particles, may be used to prepare thermal shielding coatings. The obtained coatings have high transparent thermal insulation properties and therefore can be prepared into window heat insulation film for using in architectural glass.

Some experts prepared Cs0.32WO3 powder by hydrothermal treatment at different acetic acid concentrations, and observed the visible-near-infrared transmittance spectrum of the coating prepared by hydrothermal synthesis of cesium tungsten bronze powder.

They found from the experimental results that the transparent heat insulation performance of the prepared cesium tungsten bronze powder was significantly improved after heat treatment with different concentrations of acetic acid. In addition, the hydrothermally treated Cs0.32WO3 powder at 5mol/L acetic acid showed a relatively good near-infrared shielding ability at 1100nm. The transmittance of near-infrared rays was only 42.7%. And the maximum visible light transmittance was 65.3%. Now, the near-infrared shielding rate of heat insulation material of cesium tungsten bronze nano powder has increased to 75%, and the visible light transmittance is up to 75%.
