Cs0.32WO3 Particles Applied for Heat Insulating Window Glass

Cs0.32WO3 particles are cesium tungsten bronze nanoparticles that may be used to prepare thermal insulation coatings and thus be coated on automotive glass to obtain heat insulating window glass. Among them, some experts found that the untreated raw material cesium tungsten bronze powder has a small and uniform grain size. The grains show a regular rod shape, and most of the nanorods have a length of about 50nm.

They also found that the grain size of the crystal grains of Cs0.32WO3 powder was significantly increased after 2 hours of high temperature treatment at 550°C. The uniformity of crystal grains was greatly reduced, and a thick rod with a length of about 1μm appeared. This is mainly due to the phagocytosis between the nanorods under high temperature conditions. Excessive particle size growth will be detrimental to the dispersion in the coating and lead to a decrease in the visibility of the coating. That is to say, the cesium tungsten bronze coating in this case is not suitable for application to the glass, and the process conditions need to be improved.
