Tungstate Production - Micro-emulsion Method

Micro-emulsion method is effective way for producing super micron grain in recent years. The two medium is separated by surface active agent and form into emulsion. In this circumstance, tungsten element will react and form into solid phase grain, limit nano grain to grow up and accumulate, so the formed nano grain is covered by a layer of surface active agent, has a certain accumulating structure.
Emulsion ahs three types, water-in-oil type, oil-in-water type, intermediate state double continuous phase microemulsion. In the preparation of tungstate, the oil chemicals commonly used are n-butanol and cyclohexane.
Research shows that add CaCl3 and Na2WO4 solution into n-butanol and cyclohexane, stir for 30 min, stay still for 1 hour, then obtain white precipitant. Filter and wash for several times, dry under 90℃ to obtain calcium tungstate crystalline. Micro-emulsion method can also be used to prepare Bi2WO6 catalyst.
Micro-emulsion method process is simple, the obtained product has good dispersion property. Tungstate production using this method has stable chemical property, can also use active agent to modify surface of nano material. Compared to traditional method of tungstate production, it has obvious advantage, shall have wide application field in the future.
