Tungsten Scheelite Flotation Equipment – Flotation Column

Tungsten scheelite flotation equipment usually includes mechanical agitated flotation machine and jet flotation machine. In recent years, with the continuous progress of the process, a new type of flotation equipment also added to the flotation equipment team, it is the flotation column.

Flotation column was firstly invented in Canada in 1960s. Due to incomplete process and some hard issues, it is ignored then.

In 1980s, the research of flotation column has made great progress in bubble generator and stable operation. Under the guidance of new design idea, a large number of flotation columns have appeared, such as Canada's CFCC flotation column, Germany's KHD flotation column, the United States Flotair flotation column, VPI micro-bubble flotation column, MTU filling medium flotation column, Australia's Jameson flotation column and full foam flotation column. These flotation columns have their own strengths and advanced designing concept, with advantages which conventional flotation machine is difficult to compare to and lead to a leap-style development in flotation industry.

After half a century of development, the structure of the flotation column has become more and more perfect, and gradually developed into a mineral processing equipment with simple structure, small footprint, low cost, high degree of automation, low infrastructure investment, excellent flotation index and many other advantages. In recent years, China absorbed foreign flotation machine on the basis of advanced concepts, developed cyclone micro-bubble flotation column, short body spray flotation column, filling media flotation column and countercurrent non-filling medium flotation column, and gradually was promoted in the field of flotation, received wide acclaim.
