Tungsten Scheelite Non-ionizing Collector

Non-ionizing collector is a kind of auxiliary type of tungsten scheelite collector. Because it does not exist in its own solid group, it can not be formed on the surface of the mineral adsorption layer, and only physical attachment in some natural hydrophobic mineral surface, so such collector can only be used to capture graphite, molybdenum ore, sulfur and other natural floating minerals, can not be used alone to float scheelite.

Non-ionizing collectors include kerosene, diesel, fuel, tar and transformer oils. Since the entire molecule of these oil chemicals is non-ionizing and the structure is homogeneous, the chemical formula is R-H and their molecules do not have polar gene, and the hydrocarbon compounds are saturated compounds formed by covalent bonding, so that they do not interact with the dipole water molecules in the aqueous solution to exhibit hydrophobicity and solubility, and they can not be ionized into ions.

At present, in the process of tungsten flotation, non-ionizing collectors are generally used as auxiliary agents, its main role is to mediate the foam structure, promote hydrophobic agglomeration, thereby improving the tungsten ore grade and recovery rate. It is proved that in the use of anionic collector or cationic collector in the flotation process, by adding appropriate diesel can greatly enhance the ability of polar ion collector collection, and improve the mineral flotation particle size limit, lower amount of the ionizing collector, get a better flotation effect. Therefore, fuel oil, kerosene and diesel oil, have been widely used as an auxiliary collector of ionic collector.
