Tungsten Concentrate Gravity Separation – Table Separation

Gravity separation is the main tungsten concentrate beneficiation method, coarse separation, gravity separation and selection are three steps. Table separation is one of the important processes of tungsten concentrate gravity separation. It is the advanced processing for tungsten tailings from jigging.

Main equipment for table separation is shaker which is common used in separate coarse and fine grade ore. The characters of process is by dissymmetry moving rule of machine and water function of slope, mineral grain will disperse on the surface, by separated layer to separate minerals by density.

In terms of different processing material, it can be divided into ore sand tabling and ore slime tabling. The former one is coarse and is usually used to dealing with mineral grains from 0.2mm to 0.5mm. The later mineral grain is fine and is used to processing the size smaller than 0.2mm. Characteristics of tabling is high concentration ratio, after one round of process can obtain high grade concentrate and tailings, recovery rate is 80%, it is easy to operate. So it is necessary equipment for gravity separation.

Jigging early harvest and tabling is key of gravity separation. Fine particles can only be dealt with tabling. After one to two process of tabling, tungsten element concentrated process is over, tailings flow into storage. Setting sieving parameter of tabling and abandon useless tailings, reduce process are key to save cost.

In recent years, tabling is also upgraded, such as spiral chute and tabling combination method, which is jigging coarse concentrate will enter spiral chute for coarse separating before tabling. Complete tailings abandon and then process tabling. High quality concentrate is easier to be concentrated. This method has simple structure, large dealing capability, easy operation and low producing cost, has wide application field.
