Tungsten Concentrate

Tungsten concentrate is main ore to refining tungsten and raw material with highest quality. According to chemical component of tungsten concentrate, Mn-Fe is of same nature.

Tungsten concentrate in abroad mainly distributes in Russia, Myanmar, Thailand, Australia and Bolivia. It exists as quartz vein type deposit in China, spread in the south of Jiangxi, east of Hunan and north of Canton, such as the world famous west Huashan tungsten mine. The produced mine is mainly wolframite, its content may differed from different forming condition, with different shapes and color. Usually under high temperature, Fe content is higher so it appears in black color, under low temperature the manganese content is high, the color is red, violet or brown black.

Tungsten concentrate can only be soluble in phosphoric acid. It has stable chemical property, is high quality raw material to extract tungsten. Tungsten concentrate has high purity and is easy to explore and beneficiation, it is vital in tungsten industry in China. Until today, it accounts for over 80% of tungsten mine exploration volume. Tungsten concentrate beneficiation method usually adopt gravity separation process, it is simple with low cost and has been used for many years.
