Dendritic Strontium Tungstate Crystal Preparation

Strontium tungstate is a very important functional material in tungstate. It is widely used in many fields such as photoelectric materials, gas sensitive materials, photocatalytic materials, humidity sensitive materials and so on. It is well known that the properties of nanomaterials depend on the morphology and size of nanocrystals. Therefore, the preparation of strontium tungstate nanocrystals with special morphology is of great significance in theoretical research and practical application.
Some scholars have designed a preparation method of dendritic strontium tungstate crystal. The dendritic strontium tungstate crystal are 50-100 nm in diameter and 1.5-2 um in length. They have orderly dendritic structure. The manufacturing process is as follows:
1)Dissolve propionic acid in deionized water to form propionic acid aqueous solution, and adjust the concentration of propionic acid in propionic acid aqueous solution to 0.8 mol/L.
2)Dissolve strontium nitrate in deionized water to form an aqueous solution of strontium nitrate, and adjust the concentration of strontium nitrate in the aqueous solution of strontium nitrate to 0.8 mol/L.
3)The solution of strontium propionate was mixed with the solution of strontium nitrate prepared in step 1 and step 2, and the solution of strontium propionate precipitation was kept for 50 minutes. The molar ratio of propionic acid to strontium nitrate was 3:1.
4)Dissolve sodium tungstate in deionized water to form sodium tungstate aqueous solution, and adjust the concentration of sodium tungstate in the aqueous solution to 0.6 mol/L.
5)Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate was dissolved in deionized water to form an aqueous solution of sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate, and the concentration of sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate in the aqueous solution was adjusted to 4%.
6)Sodium tungstate solution prepared in step 4 and sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate solution prepared in step 5 were mixed to obtain a mixed solution of sodium tungstate and sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate, stirring for 50 minutes, in which the volume ratio of sodium tungstate solution to sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate solution was 1:1;
7)The solid-liquid mixture was obtained by mixing sodium tungstate and sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate solution prepared in step 3 and step 6. The molar ratio of sodium tungstate and strontium propionate in the solid-liquid mixture was 1:1. The solid-liquid mixture was treated by ultrasound to obtain the reaction product; the reaction product was washed with distilled water, filtered and dried, that is, the solid-liquid mixture. Strontium tungstate dendritic crystals were obtained.
It can be seen in the XRD pattern that the prepared barium tungstate dendrites have a diameter of 50-100 nm and a length of 1.5-2 um, have an ordered dendritic structure, have a large specific surface area, and exhibit peculiar properties, being nanometers. The preparation and application of the device have created very favorable conditions, so it has a very good application prospect in the fields of optoelectronic materials, gas sensing materials, photocatalytic materials, moisture sensitive materials and so on.
