Mickey Mouse Tungsten Dart Rule

Mickey Mouse tungsten dart rule is a very simplified game of Cricket with a couple of twists.

The Object: The object of the game is to "close" all your numbers (20 down through 12, any three doubles, any three triples and bulls-eye). To close a number, you must hit three of that number.

The Scoring: The scoreboard is drawn with the numbers 20 through 12, doubles, triples and bulls-eye written in descending order down the center of the board. Bulls-eye is usually abbreviated with a B (or C for cork, another term for the bulls-eye). Doubles with a D and triples with a T (in Korea, they call the triples "trebles"). Each tungsten dart that lands in any of the games numbers count toward closing that number. The thin outer ring counts as two of that number or counts as one double. The thin inner ring counts as three of that number or counts as triple. Scoring for one tungsten dart is shown by placing a slash next to the number scored. Scoring for two is shown by placing an X next to the number scored. Scoring for three is shown by placing a circle next to the number to indicate it is closed. When three of a number is scored in any combination, it is closed.

The Play: The players each take a turn throwing one tungsten dart at bulls-eye, closet tungsten dart to the bulls-eye gets to throw first. The first player throws three tungsten darts at any of the scoring numbers to try to close that number. The players then score the tungsten darts that he has thrown and play alternates until one person closes all their numbers.

Road Rally Tungsten Dart Rule

Road Rally tungsten dart rule is a very unique game based on an auto race. A lot of imagination is used in "laying out a course". It may be played by any number of players.

The Object: The object of the game is to hit each section of board included in the "course" and be the first to "cross the finish line".

The Scoring: One tungsten dart is thrown by each player and the closest to the bullseye throws first. The players names are written in order across the top of the board and the agreed upon course is written down the center of the board.

The "agreed upon course" is where the imagination aspect of the game comes in to play. Players must pick target sections of the board to be the "course" and the "obstacles". The obstacles are oil slicks, car wrecks, hair-pin turns, etc. All the obstacles must be hit with two tungsten darts in order to pass them, while the regular sections of course must be hit only once. All elements of the course are specific: the double, the triple, the small wedge, the large wedge are all considered different sections. Only the precise section of the board listed counts and the course must be played in strict order. I usually let each player name 2 or 3 course elements plus one obstacle. This way everyone has a chance to include their favorite numbers.

The Play: Each player takes turns going through the course as describe above.

After all the obstacles have been completed, the finish line must be crossed. The finish line consists of 2 bulls-eyes. Either two single bulls may be hit or one double.

Strategy: The only strategy is in how you choose the course. Try to set an obstacle that is a hard number to hit that you have practiced. Don't pick something common like double-16 or triple-20 that everyone is used to hitting.

Features of Tungsten Alloy Shielding Ⅱ

Features of tungsten alloy shielding:

Environmental properties:
Alloys with a small amount of nickel, iron, copper, etc. added to tungsten that is the main component are highly evaluated as environment-friendly material. Unlike lead, they are not resolved in water and have high oxidation performance.
Mechanical strength:
Our heavy metals have high mechanical strength to make these metals suitable for various shapes of weights and shafts that require especially high strength. For their high rigidity, our heavy metals work well in preventing chattering of holders and chucks of tools.
Machining/processing characteristics:
While pure tungsten is very difficult to machine or process, our heavy metals, while primarily composed of tungsten, are easy to machine with cemented carbide tools. Machining by milling machines and end mills and tapping are also possible. As their melting point is high, these heavy metals are also employed as high-temperature furnace members.

Composite Tungsten Electrode

Composite tungsten electrode, which can be also called ternary complex of rare earth tungsten electrode, is mainly a mixture of thorium tungsten electrode(1% thorium), thoriated tungsten electrode(4% thorium) and yttrium tungsten electrode(2% yttrium), certainly, it can also mixing other rare earth oxide elements and adopting different mixing ratio. Usually, the composite tungsten electrode arc properties are superior to single tungsten electrode; and in the composite tungsten electrodes, tungsten electrodes of the ternary complex is better than the binary complex, the optimum ratio of oxides: CeO2: LaO3: Y2O3 = 1: 1: 3

Commonly used tungsten electrodes are pure tungsten electrode, cerium tungsten electrode, electrode, thorium tungsten electrode, lanthanum tungsten electrode and yttrium tungsten electrode, as well as ternary tungsten electrode.

How to Stop Tungsten Dart Bounce Outs

The bounce out is the most frustrating of all tungsten dart problems. You approach the line properly; flawlessly deliver the throw and your tungsten dart ends up on the floor. There is no sure-fire answer to stopping the tungsten dart bounce out. You are at the mercy of the tungsten dart gods. But how to stop tungsten dart bounce outs? there are few things you can do to minimize your chances of suffering through a bounce out.

Consider your tungsten dart weight. If you are using a light tungsten dart (18 to 21 grams) and you are experiencing a lot of bounce outs you might consider using a heavier tungsten dart. Do not change your tungsten dart weight too frequently, however. Changing your tungsten dart weight can take some getting used to, so consider this option carefully. It is a common fact that the lighter the tungsten dart the greater the chance it will bounce out.

Fixed vs. moveable tungsten dart points. Movable points have a spring that allows the tungsten dart tip to retract when it hits a hard service and continue its forward motion. The upside is you have a chance of minimizing bounce outs. The downside is that the tips can get loose and rattle in the middle of your throw. Another downside is that moveable point tungsten darts can be expensive.

Shoot wisely. You can take matters into you own hands and minimize your chances of bouncing off another tungsten dart by avoiding the other tungsten darts you have thrown. This may seem obvious, but sometimes we all fall victim to trying to force a tungsten dart into a spot that just won't fit. This attitude is the breeding ground for tungsten dart bounce outs. Take a moment to strategize and consider your alternate numbers. Always try to avoid a tight fit if you can.

Don't let your bounce outs phase you. The best way to deal with bounce outs is to forget about them. They happen to even the best tungsten dart throwers. Just remember one thing: Don’t let the tungsten dart that came bouncing back at you get you off your game. Stay focused on your number and forget about that bounce out. You have a new tungsten dart in your hand, make it count!

1.5% Lanthanated Tungsten Electrode

1.5% lanthanated tungsten electrode (AWS classification EWLa-1.5) contains a minimum of 97.80% tungsten and 1.30 to 1.70% lanthanum, or lanthana. The electrode has excellent arc starting, low-burn-off rate, good arc stability and excellent re-ignition characteristics—many of the same advantages as ceriated electrode. 1.5% lanthanated electrode also closely resemble the conductivity characteristics of 2% thoriated tungsten, meaning, in some cases, it can replace 2% thoriated without having to make significant welding program changes.

1.5% lanthanated tungsten electrode is ideal if you want to optimize your welding capabilities. Lanthanated electrode work well on AC or DC electrode negative with a pointed end or they can be balled for use with AC sine wave power sources. The lanthana is dispersed evenly throughout the entire length of the electrode during manufacturing. It also maintains a sharpened point well, which is an advantage for welding steel and stainless steel on DC or the AC from squarewave power sources.Unlike thoriated tungsten, these electrodes are suitable for AC welding and, like ceriated electrodes, allow for the arc to be started and maintained at lower voltages. AC Compared to pure tungsten, the addition of 1.5% lanthana increases the maximum carrying capacity by approximately 50% for a given size electrode.

How to Memorize Your Out Numbers in '01 Tungsten Dart Games

How to memorize your out numbers in '01 tungsten dart games?

Everyone has problems with calculating a tungsten dart out sequence, even the pros can get stumped once and a while. The last thing you want is to be distracted by having to do math while on the line. It will take away your focus and that’s a bad thing. Here‘s an easy way to memorize your outs and never get distracted again.

Let’s say you’re on a hot streak in a 501 match and you’re facing a 103 out. Odd number, a typical triple 20 first tungsten dart doesn’t make much sense because that leaves you with a 43 out. For most tungsten darters a single three, double twenty is a tough combination because you are traveling a long distance on the board to close it out. So what do you do? You can start thinking outs and do the math backwards but that gets complicated real fast. A great trick is to subtract 89, 97 and 100 from your out number. Whatever you out happens to be, subtract a ton (one hundred points) and see if the number that’s left is a one tungsten dart out that you like. If that doesn’t work chances are good that you can subtract 97 (triple 19 and double 20) or 89 (triple 19 plus double 16) from the number and you’ll have a workable middle number.

So, let’s back to your hot streak and the 103 out. Subtract 100 and you get the 3 middle number that’s not ideal. Subtract 97 and you have 6 left. Subtract 89 and you get a 14. Now you have a combination of numbers with a higher success rate in triple 19, single 14 and a double 16.

2% Ceriated Tungsten Electrode

2% ceriated tungsten electrode (AWS classification EWCe-2) contains a minimum of 97.30% tungsten and 1.80 to 2.20% cerium. This kind of electrode performs best in DC welding at low current settings but it can also be used proficiently in AC/DC processes. With its excellent arc starts at low amperages, ceriated tungsten has become popular in such applications as orbital tube and pipe manufacturing, thin sheet metal work or jobs where small and delicate parts are welded. Like thorium, it is best used to weld carbon and stainless steels, nickel alloys and titanium, making it an obvious replacement for 2% thoriated electrodes.

Ceriated tungsten features slightly different electrical characteristics than thorium but most operators won’t be able to tell the difference. Using ceriated electrodes at higher amperages is not recommended. In these situations, the oxides will migrate quickly to the heat at the tip, removing the oxide content and nullifying its process benefits.

Shove Ha'Penny Tungsten Dart Rule

Shove Ha'Penny tungsten dart rule is a very simple game that may be played with any number of players. Games go very quickly and may be finished in as little as nine darts.

The Object: The object of the game is to be the first to close all the numbers 1 through 9.

The Scoring: Each player throws one tungsten dart at bulls-eye, closest to the bulls-eye goes first.

Player’s names are written in throwing order across the top of the scoreboard. The numbers 1 through 9 are written vertically down the board. Vertical lines may be drawn to divide the board into columns for each player.

The Play: Players try to "close" each number from 1 through 9. To close a number you must hit 3 of each number in any combination. The thin outer ring counts as two and is called a double. The thin inner ring counts as three and is called a triple.

Scoring is represented in the following manner: a score of one is shown with a slash ("/"), a score of two is shown with an X and a score of three is shown with a circle ("O") to represent the number as closed.

Numbers may be closed in any order and any of the target numbers may be scored at any time. For example a player may choose to throw one tungsten dart at 1, one tungsten dart at 2 and one tungsten dart at 7 instead of trying for three at one number.

The one unique catch to this game is that if you throw more that three of a number, any extra tungsten darts that you throw must be given to your opponent. For example, with your first tungsten dart you hit a single 1, your second tungsten dart is a single 1 and your third tungsten dart is a triple 1. You have now scored a total of five 1's. You take three of them to close but the other two must be given to your opponent.

In a multi-player game (more than two) there are three variations on who to give the points to. The first is to give the points to the next player in throwing order. The second is to give the points to whichever player needs those particular points the most. The third is to allow the shooter of the extra points to choose which player will receive them. The method of distributing the extra points should be agreed upon at the beginning of the game and will be the method used throughout the entire game.

The only time extra points do not go to another player is when the extra points mean the player will win the game by getting those points. The winner of the game must throw the winning tungsten dart him/herself. A game could be won by having all the points but one given to a player and that player just hitting the one point to win the game.

Strategy: If you have a choice who to give the points to, be very careful who you choose to give the points to. If someone is really having trouble with a number, it might be better to give the points to someone else and let the player having trouble continue to have trouble.
