Tungsten prices in China continued the weakness in the week began on April 8 as tungsten institutions and large companies declined their new guide prices for the first half of April one from another, further weakening market confidence. 

China molybdenum prices maintained stability in the first half of April. For the raw material market, miners have good sentiment with the support of tight supply and molybdenum concentrate price keeps at a relatively high level. Chinese rare earth prices still show different trends in the week ended at Friday April 12. Prices of heavy rare earths such as dysprosium and terbium products maintained at a relatively high levels on strong rised mentality of sellers under expectation of tight supply; while praseodymium, neodymium and other light rare earth product prices edge lower because terminal buyers have not high enthusiasm in purchasing. As the industry may benefit from the environmental protection policy, the market would stabilize in the short term.

At present, thin market trading shows relatively negative sentiment of dealers.
