Ultrafine Blue Tungsten Oxide Producing Method

Tungsten oxide is an important intermediary product in tungsten industry. Tungsten powder’s grain size is affected by tungsten oxide. Blue tungsten oxide is important raw material for producing tungsten products, it has take place of yellow tungsten oxide gradually after years’ practice. 

By modifying grain size of tungsten oxide can easily get fine grain size tungsten powder. It can enhance hardness, strength and resilience of tungsten carbide fine crystal. Fine grain size blue tungsten oxide producing method including following steps:

1. Add ammonium paratungstate into pretreatment furnace. Then add into rotary furnace by rotating feeding machine with speed 225kg/h under vacuum (0.8-1.1)×104Pa.

2. Rotary furnace will decompose raw material under oxidizing atmosphere. Temperature from the first to the fifth zone is 230℃, the sixth zone is not heat.

3. Decomposed material enters ammonium tungsten compounds out furnace, after cooling down and sieving, ammonium tungsten compound is obtained.

4. Add ammonium tungsten compounds after sieving into calcinating furnace.

5. Calcinating the compounds under 500℃-800℃.

6. After cooling down the sieving material we can obtain ultrafine blue tungsten oxide.
