Rare earth market update on August 27, 2025

The domestic rare earth market is exhibiting a high-level declining trend, with the price of praseodymium oxide decreasing by approximately 20,000 yuan per ton, praseodymium-neodymium oxide decreasing by about 17,000 yuan per ton, praseodymium-neodymium metal decreasing by approximately 10,000 yuan per ton, terbium oxide decreasing by about 30 yuan per ton-kilogram, and dysprosium oxide decreasing by around 20,000 yuan per ton.

Recently, the Baotou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology reported that, in July 2025, among the 36 key industrial products monitored in Baotou, compared to the previous month, the prices of 4 products—high-carbon ferrochrome, photovoltaic modules, metallic lanthanum, and metallic cerium—remained stable; the prices of 23 products, including hot-rolled coils, A00 aluminum, polysilicon, and neodymium oxide, increased; and the prices of 9 products, such as rebar, polypropylene, and fluorite, decreased. Compared to the same month last year, the prices of 24 products, including seamless pipes, polyethylene, and PVC, decreased, while the prices of 12 products, including A00 aluminum, polysilicon, and praseodymium-neodymium metal, increased.
