Introduction of Tungsten Sheet

Brief introduction:
 
Tungsten belongs to rare metals and tungsten cost is different according to various tungsten content.
 
Tungsten sheet is one of tungsten products. Tungsten sheets are produced by good processing property billets and special cold and hot rolling technology. The crystal structure of tungsten sheet is compact.
 
The difference between tungsten sheet and tungsten plate is that tungsten sheet is thinner than tungsten plate.
 
Tungsten sheet can be divided into hot rolling tungsten sheet, warm rolling tungsten sheet and cold rolling tungsten sheet.
 
Due to the resistance to deformation of tungsten is big, the ordinary mill roll can not totally meet the requirements of tungsten sheet rolling. Some tungsten sheet should be rolled by mill roll made of special material. Before rolling tungsten sheet, manufacturers need preheat the mill roll.  The preheating temperature is 100 ℃ to 350 ℃ according to the different rolling conditions. If the relative density of the semifinished tungsten sheet   (the actual density and theoretical density ratio) is greater than 90%, then manufacturers can machine the tungsten sheet. If the density of the semifinished tungsten sheet is 92 to 94%, the processability of tungsten sheet is excellent. The blooming temperature of hot rolling is 1350℃ to 1500 ℃. If the deformation technological parameters are improperly selected, then the semifinished tungsten sheet will appear lamination. The blooming temperature of warm rolling is 1200 ℃. Hot rolling tungsten sheet with 8 mm thickness can be rolled into 0.5 mm by warm rolling.
 
 
Applications of tungsten sheet:
 
Tungsten sheet can be used to make tungsten electrodes, tungsten heat elements, tungsten heat shields and tungsten boats for electronics, lightening, electro-vacuum industries.

How to Produce Tungstic Acid by Using Tungstate

Tungstate is anion containing tungsten acid group (WO4 2-)  or poly tungsten acid group (W7O24 6-) salt. Some of tungstate exist in the form of hydrate with a strong alkaline solution, but some are difficult soluble, crystal in tungstate contains discrete tetrahedron structure of ions, slow hydrolysis polymerization in aqueous solution, in acidic solution could be quickly aggregated into more acid salt. Tungstate used as functional materials used as ceramic material, catalyst, pigment, preservative and fire prevention agent, also are a good raw material for producing tungsten acid.
 
How to produce tungstic acid by using tungstate, first of all, tungstate as raw materials, and heating according to the proper amount of tungsten acid salt in the beaker, when heated to boiling, continue to heat the water in the beaker to join the hydrochloric acid, available to the tungsten acid. Tungstate has fixed the dehydration temperature, finished product is actually made by insoluble in water, except hydrofluoric acid, insoluble in other organic acids. Can be used for the mordant, analytical reagent, catalyst, water treatment agents, making fire prevention, waterproof material, and phosphotungstic acid salt, boron tungstate, etc.

How to Produce Tungstic Acid by Using White Tungsten Powder

Molecular formula of tungsten acid is H2WO4, and molecular weight is 249.86. Tungsten acid is slightly soluble in hot water, and soluble in alkali, hydrofluoric acid and ammonia, but hardly soluble in acid. It is mainly used to produce metal tungsten, tungsten wire, tungsten carbide, tungsten acid salts, and  used for dyeing and printing auxiliaries.

There should be some raw materials to produce tungsten acid by using the method of white tungsten power: white tungsten powder, hydrochloric acid and water. First of all, adding white tungsten powder, hydrochloric acid and water into slurry preparation groove, and mixing to stir. The slurry density should be mixed to 1.15-1.30, and the acid value should be transferred to 110-130g/L in room temperature of 40-50 ℃.
 
Then the next is electrochemical decomposition process: the slurry which had been mixed put into electrochemical reaction tank, then transmitting electricity, which is 2 to 6 v and the volume current density is 300-1000a/m, to the tank.
 
Last but not least, under the condition of stirring, the slurry should be decomposed for one or two hours till the final acid value reach to 20 to 40 g/L, and get H2WO4 and CaCl mixture liquid, then after the processing of filtration, solid tungsten acid product has been formed.
