China's Tungsten Products Imports from January to July 2025

According to data compiled by Chinatungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, from January to July 2025, China's imports of tungsten products (excluding cemented carbide tools and tungsten halogen lamps) reached 11,100 tons, a year-on-year increase of 26.75% compared to the same period in 2024. The import value was RMB 1.391 billion, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 43.62%.

From January to July 2025, China imported:

Tungsten ores & concentrates: 9,398.73 tons, a year-on-year increase of 72.91%.

Ammonium paratungstate: 2,007 kg, compared to only 4 kg in the same period last year.

Calcium wolframate: 78.30 tons, a year-on-year increase of 27.17%.

Ammonium metatungstate: 209 kg, compared to only 1 kg in the same period last year.

Ferro-tungsten: 37 kg, compared to only 1 kg in the same period last year.

Tungsten powders: 24.66 tons, a year-on-year increase of 52.23%.

Unwrought tungsten, including bars & rods obtained simply by sintering: 2,094 kg, a year-on-year increase of 36.99%.

Tungstic acid: 10.75 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 24.59%.

Tungsten trioxides: 7,042 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 89.53%.

Other tungsten oxides & hydroxides, nes: 40.00 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 45.20%.

Tungsten hexafluoride: 270.27 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.51%.

Sodium tungstate: 1,209.01 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 28.67%.

Carbides of tungsten: 47.85 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 21.34%.

Tungsten wire: 2,914 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 6.12%.

Bars & rods, exclude those obtained simply by sintering; profiles, plates, etc.: 3,145 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 34.07%.

Additionally, from January to July 2025, China imported:

Knives and cutting blades, for machines or for mechanical appliances, of metal carbides, coated or plated: 407.91 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.02%.

Other knives and cutting blades, for machines or for mechanical appliances, of metal carbides: 291.61 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.73%.
