Department of Commerce: tungsten, molybdenum export quotas for products with resource management reform

January 13, Commerce Department of Treaty and Law Department official on the Chinese Government to abolish export quotas for rare earths and other management issued a statement.
Recently, the Chinese government abolished for rare earths, tungsten, molybdenum and other products of export quota management, aroused great concern. Commerce Department of Treaty and Law Department official has issued a statement that the rare earths, tungsten, molybdenum and other products of export quotas cancellation product management reform is in line with the domestic rare earth resources such as class I, at the same time, considering the implementation of a WTO ruling related to the conduct of policy adjustments.
The official pointed out that in recent years, for the effective protection and rational use of rare earth resources, regulate the industry market order, changes in development, resource class industrial transformation and upgrading, the Chinese government take full advantage of the economic and market instruments, adopted a series of initiatives to strengthen and improving the management of related industries,
Promote the sustainable and healthy development of rare earth and other industries. The official stressed that, as an important WTO, China has always respected WTO rules and dispute settlement body ruling. China will continue to comply with WTO rules and ways to strengthen the protection of resources, products, resources and environmental protection to promote and maintain fair competition, to achieve sustainable development.
