Many researchers have studied preparation of tungsten trioxide by sol-gel method. It is reported that nano WO3 powder with uniform size and spherical shape can be synthesized in the presence of oxalic acid and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as the complexing and surface active agents, respectively. Results of the investigations revealed that the morphological characteristics of the powder like particle size and shape depend strongly on the preparation conditions such as nature of precursor, solvent, the surface modifier and quantities of them.
