Tungsten Oxide Electrochromic Film Applied for Heat Insulating Window Glass

Tungsten oxide electrochromic film for heat insulating window glass can be prepared by screen printing method. In this regard, experts said that the transparency of tungsten oxide electrochromic thin film obtained by FTO conductive glass printing will decrease with the increase of the number of printing, and the transmittance of the film will decrease after heat treatment in the muffle furnace. But do you know why the transmittance of tungsten oxide electrochromic films is decreased after heat treatment?

This is because the tungsten trioxide electrochromic thin film is an amorphous structure before heat treatment, and the film has been crystallized after heat treatment. After the heat treatment, the thickness of the film gradually decreases and the refractive index gradually increases as the volatilization of organic solvents such as ethanol and terpineol in the film, the pyrolysis of physical adsorption water, and the analysis of chemical structure water cause polycondensation of the internal structure of the film after the film is heated at 500 °C. In this process, grain boundaries are reduced, and the grain grows, which results in densification of the film structure and a decrease in the porosity.
