Tungsten Trioxide Film Applied for All-solid-state Complementary Electrochromic Window

Tungsten trioxide film can be used to prepare a tungsten trioxide electrochromic film for assembly of an all-solid-state complementary electrochromic window. According to experts, smart window is a promising energy-saving material for energy-saving reconstruction of building. So how to prepare WO3 film that acts as an EC layer in a smart window? Some experts have prepared tungsten oxide film by electron beam evaporation.

Preparation of WO3 Film by Electron Beam Evaporation Method

The analytically pure WO3 powder was pressed into a cylinder with a diameter of 1cm, and placed in a graphite crucible as an evaporation source. The substrate was made of 200Ω/ITO film conductive glass, soaked in 10% sulfuric acid for 10min, then ultrasonically washed several times with deionized water, and then blown dry. The substrate temperature was 80°C, the evaporation film formation rate was 9nm/min, and the conventional evaporation time was 15min. The W03 film that has just evaporated is blue.
