Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) Declined Average Tungsten Forecast Prices for July 2023

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China tungsten price continued to be under pressure.

First, the recovery at the macro economy was not as good as expected. Second, the relatively sluggish market demand did not improve significantly, and the overall consumption sentiment in the tungsten market was relatively low due to the recent high temperature and rainy weather. Third, the GTA's forecasted average price and the long-term contract prices of large companies released successively this week, which further affects the mentality of traders. 

Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA)’s average tungsten forecast prices for July 2023: 55% black tungsten concentrate price was 17,205.9/ton, down $294.1/ton; APT price was $296.6/mtu, down $5.0/mtu; medium particle tungsten powder price was $40.6/kg, down $0.6/kg compared with last month. 

Zhangyuan Tungsten released its long-term contract prices for the first half of July 2023: black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) was quoted at $17,205.9/ton, down $220.6/ton; scheelite concentrate (WO3≥55%) was quoted at $16,985.3/ton, down $220.6/ton; APT was quoted at $296.6/mtu, down $3.3/mtu from June 2023. 

Jiangxi Tungsten quoted high-grade black tungsten concentrate at $17,573.5/ton, down $220.6/ton compared with the second half of June 2023. 

Xiamen Tungsten’s APT bid price was $295.8/mtu, down $4.2/mtu compared with the second half of June 2023.
