China Rare Earth Market - April 26, 2023

China rare earth market is still not good on April 26, 2023, mainly reflected in the decline in the prices of praseodymium, neodymium, dysprosium, terbium and NdFeB to varying degrees, and the actual transaction volume is lower than expected. This is mainly due to the fact that the weak downstream demand is difficult to improve and the recent market spot volume has not decreased significantly.

From the perspective of the supply side, the year-on-year increase in rare earth mining and separation indicators in the first half of this year and the increase in imports of rare earth ores from other countries (for example, Myanmar imported about 4,130 tons of rare earth oxides in March, an increase of 10% from the previous month), are all recent rare earth markets. The main reason why the spot supply is difficult to reduce. However, in order to avoid the risk of cost inversion and the impact of stricter environmental protection policies, some rare earth manufacturers have reduced their output.

From the perspective of demand, the development prospects of rare earth downstream industries such as new energy vehicles, consumer electronics, smart home appliances and wind power generation are good, which will help increase the demand for rare earth functional materials such as permanent magnet materials, so the price of rare earth raw materials is expected to stop falling.

Among them, the company's automotive business revenue was US$19.963 billion, a year-on-year increase of 18%.
