China Rare Earth Price - April 11, 2022

At the beginning of the week, China rare earth price continues the downward trend of last week. The downstream demand was weak, which led to the lack of confidence in suppliers' firm quotations.

The increase in the supply of rare earth raw materials and the limited support of favorable policy factors have also greatly weakened the confidence of holders of stable prices. Recently, the prices of praseodymium, neodymium, dysprosium and terbium products have fallen the most. However, supported by production costs, the margins for suppliers are generally limited.

News: As one of the larger applications of rare earth permanent magnet materials, the recent slowdown in the development of the automobile industry is not conducive to the increase in the amount of rare earth raw materials. Since March, due to the epidemic, NIO's supply chain partners in Jilin, Shanghai, Jiangsu and other places have successively stopped production and have not yet resumed. Affected by this, NIO's vehicle production has been suspended on April 9.
