Stuhini Exploration has provided a mineral resource estimate for the Ruby Creek molybdenum deposit located 35 km east of Atlin, British Columbia. The resource estimate was conducted by Mine Development Associates (MDA), a division of RESPEC.
Ruby Creek contains a pit-constrained measured and indicated resource of 433.0 million pounds of molybdenum contained within 369.4 million tonnes at an average grade of 0.053 percent, according to MDA calculations. An additional 43.7 million pounds of molybdenum are contained within 42 million tonnes at an average grade of 0.047 percent molybdenum in the inferred category.
Ehsan Salmabadi, Vice President of Stuhini Exploration, noted, "MDA has developed a very robust resource model that will form the basis of future economic studies. Our efforts in the coming months will be focused on an internal scoping study to guide our next step in evaluating the economics of the Ruby Creek molybdenum property."
The Ruby Creek molybdenum mine, also known as Adanac (after its former operator), is located in the heart of the Atlin gold camp and hosts seven significant placer creeks, as well as potential base and precious metals. The molybdenum deposit was advanced by Adanac through feasibility, permitting, and funding until its mine construction was derailed by the financial crisis in 2008.
Stuhini currently has an option agreement with Global Drilling Solutions to acquire the asset, which can be exercised by paying a total of C$1.06 million in shares and cash over four years.
Stuhini Exploration is a mineral exploration company focused on the exploration and development of its base and precious metals properties in Western Canada. The Company's exploration portfolio includes its flagship Ruby Creek molybdenum deposit located approximately 20 kilometers east of Atlin, British Columbia, the Que project located approximately 70 kilometers north of Johnson's Crossing, Yukon, the South Thompson project located approximately 35 kilometers northwest of Grand Rapids, Manitoba, and the British Columbia, the Big Ledge project located approximately 57 kilometers south of Revelstoke, British Columbia.
