China’s ferro tungsten and tungsten bar prices remain stable on March 16, 2022 as the whole market is caught in wait-and-see atmosphere with rare deals concluded in the market.

In the tungsten powder market, the market price is around $44.8/kg, and the market trading atmosphere has improved slightly, mainly due to the cyclical recovery in the consumption of alloy enterprises, but the industry is still concerned about the market outlook. The repeated epidemics have caused the industry to face greater uncertainty in terms of capital and logistics capacity, and market purchases and sales operations are still cautious.

In terms of news, data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that in the face of multiple challenges such as the complex and severe international environment and the spread of domestic epidemics, China’s economy has continued to recover steadily. From January to February 2022, the added value of China's industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 7.5% year-on-year, with a growth rate of 7.5%; an increase of 3.2 percentage points from December 2021; an increase of 0.34% month-on-month in February.
