GTA Declined Average Tungsten Forecast Prices for April

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

The new guide prices for April were released by China’s Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) and listed tungsten companies, which were mixed with slight adjustment. Most participants are cautious and market price is expected to rise slightly in the short term.

GTA’s average tungsten forecast prices for April: 55% black tungsten concentrate price was $14,761.9/t, down $238.1/t compared from March; ammonium paratungstate (APT) price was $253.8/mtu, down $6.3/mtu; medium particle tungsten powder price was $35.7/kg, down $0.5/kg compared with March.

Zhangyuan Tungsten’s reference prices for the first half of April: black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) price was $14,761.9/t, down $158.7/t from the second half of March; scheelite concentrate (WO3≥55%) price was $14,523.8/t, down $158.7/t; APT price was $253.8/mtu, down $2.7/mtu compared with the second half of March.

Jiangxi Tungsten quoted high-grade black tungsten concentrate at $15,079.4/ton, up $79.4/ton from the second half of March. 

Xiamen Tungsten’s offer for APT was $252.9/mtu, a decline of $79.4/mtu compared with the second half of March.
