Rare earth market quotation in China: terbium oxide, lanthanum oxide and europium oxide prices keep stable on March 15, 2021. Affected by current high level of raw material prices, end-users are cautious to place their orders now, and thus new increased orders are limited. In order to increase trading activity, offers for some products were declined. Even though, insiders remain optimistic for the outlook. 

Recently, the OECD raised its forecast for world economic growth in 2021 from 4.2% to 5.6%, and at the same time raised its forecast for world economic growth in 2022 from 3.7% to 4%. Among them, the US economic growth forecast for 2021 is raised from 3.2% to 6.5%, which is based on the US plan to launch a US$1.9 trillion economic stimulus plan. In addition, the OECD also believes that the Eurozone can achieve economic growth of 3.9% and 3.8% in 2021 and 2022, respectively; Japan’s economy is expected to grow by 2.7% in 2021 and South Korea’s economy by 3.3%.
