Rare earth market quotation in China: terbium oxide, praseodymium oxide and neodymium oxide prices declined slightly on March 10, 2021 under deadlocked supply and demand in the market. in order to take more orders, sellers are willing to reduce product prices, but the decline is limited with the support of production cost.
In the light rare earth market, high-price transactions are difficult to be concluded. With the gradual exhaustion of the advantages of emerging industries and the downward pressure of downstream users, the price of mainstream products seems difficult to rise again; the medium and heavy rare earth market is stable supported by tightening availability of raw materials. Sellers keep firm offers while consumers carry out their purchasing plan based on actual needs.
From January to February 2021, China’s total import and export stood at 5440 billion yuan, an increase of 32.2% over the same period of last year. Among them, the export saw an increase of 50.1% and import increased 14.5% compared to 2021. In terms of products, China's export of automatic data processing equipment and its parts and components increased by 68.5%; mobile phone exports increased by 49.2%; and automobile (including chassis) exports increased by 93.4%.
