China Tungsten Concentrate Price Stabilized with Low Trading Activity in the Market

Ammonium paratungstate (APT) exporters in China are facing rising costs due to higher domestic prices for the material, causing them to raise their offers again this past week even though foreign buyers have shown little interest in purchasing at these already elevated levels.

Exporter sources in China expressed that they needed to continue raising offers for their APT because they could not source cheap materials from the domestic market. This is despite the fact that overseas consumers were reluctant to pay high prices. 

The tungsten concentrate price stalemated between $13,809.5 per tone and $14,127.0 per ton, no high-price transactions were reported. sellers were will to sell their products, but were reluctant to cut product profits. With more and more enterprises stopping production at the end of the year, the current tight supply in the market is expected to continue in this month. 

As for the tungsten powder market, prices rose above $33.3 per kilogram as strict control in Covid-19 and power limit in many producing areas have been reduced the output of raw materials. Most insiders were cautious, waiting for the situation in the demand and capital sides.
