Neodymium Oxide Price - December 16, 2020

Rare earth market quotation in China: neodymium oxide, dysprosium oxide and praseodymium neodymium oxide prices are weak on the whole in the middle of December, 2020 due to relatively weak demand.

From the supply side, with the impact of cold weather and strict environmental protection inspection, it is difficult for rare-earth smelting companies to mine ores, and the production release has slowed down, thereby reducing the growth rate of inventory, which reduces the room for product price reduction to some extent.

From the demand side, although the impact of the epidemic gradually weakens and the development of emerging markets is expected to improve, many magnetic materials companies still have strong resistance to current market prices, basically maintaining just-needed purchases and reasonably controlling inventories.

In November 2020, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 7.0% year-on-year (the following added value growth rates are actual growth rates after deducting price factors), and 0.1% month-to-month. In November, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 1.03% month-on-month. From January to November, the added value of industries above designated size rose by 2.3% compared with the same period last year.
