China Dysprosium Oxide Price - November 25, 2020

Rare earth market quotation in China: praseodymium oxide, neodymium oxide and dysprosium oxide prices continue to be in the upward trend in late November due to good trading atmosphere and good market confidence.

From the perspective of positive factors, first, the spot circulation of mainstream products is still tight, which stimulates the desire to purchase rare earth separation plants to a certain extent, and in turn play a strong supporting role in the confidence of traders to increase prices; second, the Christmas and Spring Festival is approaching, downstream users’ initiative to enter the market has also increased, which is one of the main reasons for the recent good market conditions; third, the market boom of new energy vehicles, excavators, 3C, and micro motors has increased and demand for rare earth materials also increased.

From the perspective of negative factors, the global epidemic continues to spread, causing some overseas manufacturers to cut production and stop production, and international logistics and transportation are stagnant, thus affecting the rate of recovery of the export market.

This week, Southern Rare Earth’s listing price for gadolinium oxide rose by 30,000 yuan/ton to 176,000 yuan/ton; terbium oxide rose by 500,000 yuan/ton to 5.8 million yuan/ton; holmium oxide rose by 60,000 yuan/ton, up to 505,000 yuan/ton
